A Figure Skating Huddle in Tulsa, OK

Purpose

Welcome to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) figure skating huddle group, or simply "FCA On Ice" for short! We're a growing community of figure skaters based in Tulsa, Oklahoma united by our faith in Jesus Christ and our passion for everything figure skating.

Our huddle meets monthly during public skating sessions to grow together in our sport and faith, and we host various fellowship building and outreach events throughout the year. Join us as we combine our sport with our faith in a supportive and inclusive environment.

We have been doing some re-branding and you may see us wearing t-shirts or mentioning "Blades of Honor" often. The Blades of Honor group is basically the FCA figure skating and FCA hockey huddles that combined into one big family.

Spring Huddle – March 28, 2025

We are thrilled to announce our Spring FCA Huddle, and it’s going to be a special one—it'll be our first official ice time together as an FCA huddle! Even more exciting, this will now become a monthly event where we will gather for fellowship, worship, skating, and devotionals.

Date: Friday, March 28th

Time: 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Location: Oilers Ice Center (the rink on 6413 Mingo Rd.)

This incredible opportunity to have ice time for our huddle was made possible through the generosity of our sponsors. Upcoming Huddle Meeting - Feb. 21, 2025

Our February huddle is this Friday at Felicity's house, 7 pm. We will have Firehouse Subs for dinner and will be doing a Bible study.

Please let us know through email or GroupMe if you plan to attend. This way, we know how many sandwiches our sponsor needs to purchase.

30 Day Identity Challenge from Jan. 6 - Feb. 6, 2025

Pure Encouragement Ministries is launching their annual 30 day identity challenge. If you have not participated in this challenge before, we highly encourage you to take part this time around!

Participation is FREE and does not require a lot of time, just a daily commitment to be in the Bible and short journal a response (any time of day). You can optionally order a physical copy of their book for $12, but it is also provided as a PDF for free.

To join the group for figure skaters, put "I'd like to join the FCA On Ice Tulsa figure skaters group" in the "Anything else you would like our team to know?" section of the registration form. You'll gain access to our group within the Pure Encouragement app and be able to see other members' responses.

Our group will include Dawn Harter (syncro skating coach from Liberty University), Danelle Arturet (FCA Ministry Leader), and Felicity Jackson (FCA Ministry Leader).

Join the Challenge

Upcoming Huddle Meeting - Jan 17, 2025

Our first huddle meeting for the new year will be Friday, Jan. 17 from 7 pm to 9 pm.

We’ll meet in person at Felicity's house and then join our friend Ryan Jahnke’s FCA Huddle group in Colorado Springs via Zoom. Ryan is the 2003 National Bronze Medalist and the 2004 Silver Medalist for Skate America. You may recognize him from the "Testimony On Ice" show we watched together a few months ago.

This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with FCA friends near and far for a time of Bible study and prayer. Let us know if you can join and what dish you plan to bring. We hope to see you there!

Huddle Meeting Recap - Dec. 15, 2024

Following the Christmas show on Saturday, we had a great time at our huddle meeting on Sunday. Thanks Jessie for leading our Christmas huddle and thank you skaters and families for all the delicious food!

We made gingerbread houses, mini Christmas ornament crafts, played our favorite game "Jenga", and studied the Bible on the various names of God.

Christmas Show Recap - Dec. 14, 2024

Our FCA On Ice figure skaters performed "We Three Kings" for the Christmas show at WeStreet Ice Center! Big thank you to Coach Gretchen for the costumes and choreography as we couldn't have done this without you! Also, thank you to all the skaters and families for your hard work and dedication.

It was a great weekend for our ensemble group as they shined their light for Jesus. Scroll through the images to take a look!
